Maggie Hillock (b. 2000) is a percussionist/timpanist and composer from Paddock Lake, WI. She has a Music Performance degree from University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. She is currently a student at Roosevelt University – Chicago College of Performing Arts, pursuing her Master’s in Classical Performance. She is also currently a percussionist in Symphony 847 in Lake Forest, IL. 

She has performed in a variety of ensembles such as jazz bands, wind ensembles, orchestras, marching bands, show choirs, and vocal jazz, playing a variety of percussion instruments.  She has performed with the Lake County Symphony Orchestra and the Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra. 

In 2019 Maggie toured with Whitewater’s Chamber Singers and Vocal Jazz Ensemble in Germany and Poland, playing drum set/percussion. In 2020 she played in Carnegie Hall with Whitewater’s Symphonic Wind Ensemble at the New York Wind Band Festival. In August 2022 she played with Kenosha Opera Festival in their production of The Barber of Seville

Maggie is currently the Percussion Instructor for the Kenosha Unified School District’s Band of Blackwatch. Band of Blackwatch is a high school summer band that performs both concert and marching music. She has also taught at UW-Whitewater’s Middle School Band Camp, where she taught percussion sectionals, percussion ensemble, and hand drumming class.
